Hey there! My name is Brandon Garside. I am 27 yrs old and am happily married to my wife Kelsey E. Garside. I was born and raised in Fremont, CA (east bay of S.F) and then moved to Oceanside, CA when I was 8 1/2 years old. I've always loved color in nature and was active in sports and outdoor adventures. As I grew older, I noticed that I appreciated things that looked visually appealing to the eye in contrast to things that didn't and wanted to make a difference but didn't know how or why.
I then became interested in art while taking a basic figure drawing class during high school and took art and design classes ever since then. I am finishing my last semester at BYU-Idaho University with a Bachelors degree in Integrated Studio Art with an emphasis in graphic design and clusters in advertising and web design. I am currently looking for internships related to graphic design and advertising in the Gilbert, AZ area as my last requirement to graduate.
Photography is not my strong suit but I do appreciate good photography and the process involved but hope to learn more about it. As I said earlier and as you can see in my pictures, I have this infatuation with bright or vibrant colors. I assume that is my style and personality coming out in my artwork. I also love good contrast and unique compositions. I hope to know enough to effectively execute those design principles that will allow my pictures to demonstrate those qualities I desire in my work.
